About Us

Welcome!  This is the blog of the Washington University in St. Louis Alternative Lifestyle Association (ALA).  This is where you’ll find information about upcoming events,     .  Links to relevant additional information will also be posted here, so check in often! If you need to get in contact with us, please comment or drop us a line at altlife@su.wustl.edu!

The Alternative Lifestyle Association (ALA) is a Student Union recognized group dedicated to bringing resources to the Washington University community in an effort to promote healthy attitudes toward sex and sexuality.  We are open to all races, religions, genders, sexual orientations, and kinks.  We promote acceptance and education, and expect all members to show respect for each other’s lifestyles, however different or similar they may be.  We encourage members to communicate and learn from one another and ask that all meeting attendees set aside assumptions about who people are and what they do.

As a Wash U student group, our primary purpose is to provide resources to Wash U students, but we strive to support all groups nationwide with similar sex-positive missions.  Our resources include discussions, hands-on workshops, a lending library, and community outreach events, which may include guest speakers, panel discussions, fetish fashion shows, vendor fairs, or other events coordinated by the students.

For more information, please visit our website WashUAltLife.wordpress.com or email us at altlife@su.wustl.edu

We are not currently holding weekly General Body Meetings, but we are holding more frequent events, so please check back often! Details will be up as we have them.

*Please Note: Unfortunately, school policy dictates that only Wash U students and faculty may attend our weekly meetings. We hope that others will attend our open events, held usually once or twice a semester.

  1. Hello, my name is Mike, and I’m not a student , but looking for help looking for an exhibitioist group in the area. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks

    • Hi Mike, thanks for contacting us. My best advice is to look on Fetlife. You will be able to search for events in the local area, and even if there isn’t an exhibitionist-specific group right now, you’ll be able to find a lot of locals who can point you in the right direction, or you could even start your own group! Good luck. 🙂

    • Hi Brett. We don’t yet, but it’s a good idea that I’ve been thinking about for a while. I’ll put someone on it. It may take some time to get a regular webmaster, but keep checking in. Thanks.
